Swing

Sponsored by Pam Laflamme and the Laflamme clan

I’ll admit it, I fell in love with Swing because of his reddish coloring and semi-floppy ear. Swing, and his brother Foxtrot, came from Sylvain Robillard and Manon Moore’s kennel in Quebec, when after 25 years they decided to sell all their dogs. Having raced with Sylvain and Manon, I didn’t know too much about their dogs but I did know their team was friendly, fast, and trained to be loose.

Swing is steady and easy going, and has spent the summer suffering next to Zippo’s antics. An earnest dog, Swing requests attention by standing near you and staring, and when it’s his time to be harnessed he leans as far as he can in the direction of the gang line, putting all of his 60 pounds onto the line. Swing is a beautiful big boy, dwarfing the smaller-sized front end dogs. Swing in lead is steady and focused 100% ahead, just like his brother Foxtrot. I’m so happy he’s here to give confidence to new and younger dogs.
